As featured in Elle and Harper's Bazaar, John Cassese is paving the way for a new generation of dance enthusiasts. Dubbed the Dance Doctor for the house calls he makes and the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical cardiovascular health benefits that he brings to his "patients."

From individual and group dance lessons in the Dance Doctor Studio and in people's homes, to theatrical consulting, choreographing and performing, John Cassese brings the art of dance to a new generation.

"People can learn grace and poise by exercising through dance. And getting back into shape usually means an extra boost to one's self-confidence and self-esteem," John says.

Don't know your right foot from your left? Here are tips from John, who maintains that "if you can walk, you can dance":

1) Just try a lesson or two. John says that dancing is NOT as complicated as people think; most people really can hear the beat.

2) Try a combination of private lessons and group lessons. Private lessons teach you the basics or fine-tune your technique, group lessons teach you how to dance with people who are learning.

The Dance Doctor's special "prescription" is truly unique because of the full range of professional services for weddings, bar mitzvahs/bat mitzvahs, anniversaries, birthdays, and other special events. These services include: selecting the perfect music for the celebration, leading a band, performing dance exhibitions, DJing, and coordinating the entire evening.
